Hi
I want to set a Virtual Machine (winXP) to use at full screen in my lap
1200x800 But I can only get 1024x768 in the guest WinXP. and at full screen
the image is expanded... and a little distorted I guess... How can I set the
resolution to 1200x800 in the XP guest?
Thanks in advance (sorry for my english)

Have you installed the VMAdditions?

Yes, VMAdditions installed.
I can resize the screen on-the-fly... inside que guest (windowed) It works
fine even with non-standard resolution but lower than 1024x786. I can't get
the full size: 1280x800... at full screen (ATL+ENTER) it only set to
1024x768 but gets distorted....
thanks...

I would redo the vmadds. You should be getting a much higher resolution
choice in the vm than 1024x768.

Well.... actually I can get more resolution in the guest but.... I don't
know how to say.... still can't fit the full size screen... It exceeds the
screen... Do you understand? mmmm the real-res gets 1024x768 (expanden and
distorted 'cause the real-res is 1280x800) but the desk is bigger, it's out
of the screen boundaries... (sorry for my english) I have no idea if I'm
writing well...
The gues res is maybe 2048x1024 but the screen (at 1024x768) onle shows a
region of that 2048x1024.... what a mess... I hope you understand....

I can picture it but I don't have any thoughts about it except to make sure
that the host's drivers (chipset and video) are up to date.

Well... actually.. the old video drivers (SIS) let me set 1152x768 as the
max res.at full screen without distortion... (inside a thin black border)
Bigger resolutions reset the full screen to Windowed VPC with a message.
Recently I updated the drivers. And now I can't get the 1152x768. The screen
just turn into the 800x600 res distorted at full screen and the desktop to
the virtual size of 1152x768 (or bigger)
