He never left! If Microsoft actually runs these groups, can't they
block him? |

On what basis? Obnoxiousness? Inappropriateness? Forget it.

Microsoft has no clue how to build search engines. If I want to find
something buried somewhere in microsoft.com, I never use their search tool.
I'll find it much faster with google or altavista, etc. |

Yep. The point being, just because they're MSFT in no way means they know diddly
about the internet, as you had suggested. They pretty clearly don't. Just pick up
the business section from any newspaper if you have any remaining doubts.

Didn't Al Gore create the internet?

Microsoft successful, and Microsoft building a good search engine, are not
related. They are the first, they have not been able to do the second. |

I looked at the last five years of MSFT performance. Nice peak at the end of
2000, followed by a nice dive, followed by mediocre performance for several
years. Nice peak last year - tied to Vista release? Now they are going down
again. Plenty of volume, but too volatile for me. I'm not impressed.
