Is it possible to convert a virtual machine (a file .vhd + .vmc) to a
real machine system?

Yes, it is possible, but it's not really that easy. You can try
something like Acronis's True Image with universal restore to do the
job, otherwise it's using some imaging or backup software to image the
VM, then restore it to a real PC, then doing a upgrade/install over
the top to get that running. (The hardware difference is the biggest
problem)

You could try Ghosting it, but this will not work for Windows, I can almost
guarantee you that.

I think....
You can make a image with Norton Ghost (inside Virtual PC), then copy that
image to a networked drive, then use norton ghost again to recover the image
into a real PC....
Am I wrong?

Hardware differences are the only thing that can stop you doing it
that way, Ghost doesn't account for that.

Yes...
But it may work most of the time I guess... ( it worked for me... twice...
but I know it's not a general rule..) Actually Windows updated the
hardware -video and other devices- and went running nicely... first with
general drivers, later with the drivers I supplied...
Maybe some hardware could cause trouble. I remember that there are some
registry keys that -when erased- force Windows to re-detect the hardware the
same way it does during installation; of course it's useful 'cause all the
software customization remains unaltered. Anyway, I don't remember those
registry keys but sure someone does and could be used here if the "OS
transplantation" fails...
Sorry again for my english, and of course, I'm only an unexperienced user...
but I'm fascinating with Virtual PC...

Acronis Echo Workstation with Universal Restore will automatically update
the HAL to match the target machine. You can go between real and virtual or
real to real. I'm having a GREAT time experiementing with it.

The only problem I have is Acronis doesn't handle ATA controllers correctly
as yet. (I have an open case with them right now.)
