I have several Virtual PC 2007 images created. At first I had no problems
rebooting them. Now they will not complete a reboot and open Windows. I get
the POST screen identifying hardware, etc. then a blank (black) screen.

I tried this with an image I have previously saved, same thing. One of them
will show the black background start up logo with the progress bar, but it
either reboots at that point to show the F* screen or goes black and stays
that way.

I have a VM with Dos 6.22 on it, and it boots up fine, so I suspect it has
to do with the video setup. I've tried the different types (Guest res, full
screen, etc.) but nothing works.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

1.7 gigs. Yes, Images = Virtual PCs. I created the first myself and loaded
Windows XP from a CD.

I copied the folders to create copies. Except for the DOS one, which I also
created from scratch.

How much memory did you allocate for the virtual machines? I assume by
"images" you mean virtual machines, or did you create them by importing an
image from a physical machine?

I set it to 256 and no difference. It just goes to black.

F8 also still works, when I try that, but that's as far as I can get.

If hardware virtualization is checked in settings, try toggling it off. If
that has no effect, try a new vm with default settings except for memory.
Also, make sure your host's drivers are up to date.
